The Bhagavad Gita says, "Yoga is skill in action."
Committing to and graduating from a yoga teacher training is an incredible accomplishment. In 200 hours (at a minimum), you learned the fundamentals of asana, anatomy, and philosophy. Each new insight gives way to new questions and explorations - and so the life-long practice of yoga unfolds.
While a teacher training forms a foundation for your teachings to stand upon, it doesn't necessarily prepare you to teach a clear, professional, and confident class. On the other hand, yoga is not just an intellectual pursuit. It is meant to be experienced. Likewise, in order to teach, you have to start teaching! A mentorship is an opportunity to hone your skills under the guidance of an experienced teacher.
